On July 1, 2007 the ConnectMichigan Alliance merged into the Michigan Nonprofit Association (MNA). The ConnectMichigan Alliance Endowment will continue to support service and volunteerism in Michigan under MNA. Michigan Campus Compact and the Volunteer Centers of Michigan became affiliate organizations of the Michigan Nonprofit Association and the contact information for all staff is listed below.

Amy Smitter has served as the Executive Director at Michigan Campus Compact (MCC) since September 2000, working with MCC partner organizations and coordinating state-wide partnerships and fundraising activities. Prior to becoming Executive Director, Amy served as Associate Director for Michigan Campus Compact, working with grantees and many other programs. A Michigan native, she returned to the state after working for Wheeling Jesuit University in Wheeling, West Virginia as Director of Activities and Performing Arts. Amy also worked in the volunteer center network, for both the Albion Volunteer Service Center in Albion, Michigan and Volunteer and Information Services in Battle Creek, Michigan.
Amy has a Bachelors degree from Michigan State University in Political Science and Russian/Eastern European Studies and a Masters degree in Student Personnel Administration from Ball State University. She serves on the boards of numerous community organizations including the Michigan HOSA Board, the playground committee at Dimondale Elementary School, the Parent Advisory Committee for the YMCA child care center, an appointed member of the Dimondale Recreation Committee and serves as a community mentor for the Big Brothers Big Sisters organization. Amy is married to Chris Lemmon who works for the Capital Area District Library and they have two daughters: Felicia and Paige.

Diana Rodriguez-Algra currently serves as the Executive Director of the Volunteer Centers of Michigan, an association that represents the 27 Volunteer Centers in our state. Prior to this she was the Service-Learning Coordinator for the Michigan Community Service Commission. In this role she was responsible for advancing the use of service-learning among policy and educational organizations. Her other positions have included serving as the Volunteer Services Liaison for the Family Independence Agency within the director office. Diana served for four years as the first Director of AmeriCorps State/ National programs at the Corporation for National and Community Service. In this position she oversaw the selection and distribution of over $526 million dollars in federal support for National Service Programs.
Right before she left Michigan for Washington, she served as the first director of Michigan Community Service Commission established by Governor Engler in 1991. Her background also includes serving as the first director of Michigan Campus Compact, one of the first state level Campus Compacts in the country. She also served as the Director of Women’s Programs at Michigan State University for over nine years.
Her community involvements include serving on the boards of the following organizations: The Capital Region Community Foundation; Sparrow Health System Community Council; and the Capital Area United Way Community Impact Committee. She as serves as a “Lunch Buddy” for the Big Brothers Big Sisters of Lansing program.
She holds an undergraduate degree in Industrial Psychology and a Masters Degree in Labor and Industrial Relations both from Michigan State University.

Kyle Caldwell is the President and CEO of the Michigan Nonprofit Association (MNA). MNA enhances the effectiveness of the Michigan nonprofit sector in serving society. Michigan Nonprofit Association affiliates include Michigan Campus Compact, NPower Michigan and the Volunteer Centers of Michigan. MNA is the home of a number of innovative programs including LEAGUE Michigan, Michigan’s Promise and several national service programs including those supporting Governor Granholm’s Mentor Michigan initiative.
Kyle recently served as the President and CEO of the ConnectMichigan Alliance, an statewide organization which promotes and strengthens a life-long ethic of service and civic engagement through the support of community building initiatives. Kyle has worked in the public and private sectors including serving both Governors Engler and Granholm as the Executive Director of the Michigan Community Service Commission (MCSC) - a state agency that builds a culture of service by providing vision and resources to strengthen communities through volunteerism. Prior to his time at the MCSC, Kyle was Director of Corporate and Foundation Relations at Olivet College, a small liberal arts college with a mission of "Individual and Social Responsibility" for its students, faculty, staff, alumni, and trustees. While at Olivet, Kyle created the Leadership Awards program that highlighted leaders in the public, private, and social sectors who exemplified the values of the college.
Kyle serves on the boards of a number of state and national nonprofit organizations including: America's Promise: Alliance for Youth Trustees Committee; Starr Commonwealth; Gull Lake Community Schools Foundation; Learning To Give-Michigan; Michigan Civics Education Coalition; Service Learning United; Sherman Lake YMCA Outdoor Center; Voices for National Service; and Western Michigan University School of Communication Alumni Academy.
Kyle holds both a bachelors and masters degree from Western Michigan University where he studied organizational communication. Kyle is married with two children. The Caldwells reside in Augusta, Michigan.
