Ferris State University to Host “Dump and Party”

With the upcoming Ferris Fest event, Michigan Campus Compact is proud to announce that Ferris State University will host a 2007 “Dump and Party.”  This event, which will gather donations to be distributed to needy families and children, will take place during Ferris Fest on April 21, 2007 from noon until 6 pm in the FSU Quad.  

“Dump and Party” is asking those from the Ferris and Big Rapids community bring in donations of non-perishable food and gently used sporting goods (basketballs, tennis balls, footballs, soccer balls, tennis rackets, baseball mitts, bats, hockey sticks, Bikes, etc.).  Please consider items that one would typically give to a son, daughter, cousin, nephew or niece.

A portion of the quad has been donated by Entertainment Unlimited in which a collections area will be constructed.  If it rains, Ferris Fest will be moved to the Wink Arena, and all Dump and Party donations will be accepted at the old Ford dealership office section, across from Williams auditorium.

All items will be donated to youth in the Ferris Community and to Eagle Village.  Dump and Party offers an opportunity to serve community youth as well as the environment through recycling.

Where: Collections will be accepted in the quad, in case of rain please bring items to the building across from Williams Auditorium
