CMA Announcement
The merger provides the opportunity to join the nonprofit and volunteer sectors to create a more powerful, effective and innovative support structure for nonprofit organizations, higher education institutions and volunteer centers. The Michigan Nonprofit Association will work to ensure that every Michigan community is served by a vibrant nonprofit sector with a steady stream of engaged volunteers. The Michigan Campus Compact and the Volunteer Centers of Michigan, former affiliates of the ConnectMichigan Alliance, became affiliates of the Michigan Nonprofit Association on July 1, 2007 and they along with the Michigan Community Service Commission, a state government agency, have been provided seats on the Board of Trustees. Furthermore, after a thorough review process, the Board of Trustees of the Michigan Nonprofit Association approved the appointment of Kyle Caldwell as the new President and CEO of the Michigan Nonprofit Association.
